ELEVEN Philippine National Police generals will take their oath of office today before PNP chief Director General Alan LM Purisima after their promotion was approved by President Benigno Aquino III following the recommendation of the PNP chief and Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas.
Two of them are newly-promoted Director Rolando A. Purugganan of the PNP Directorate for Comptrollership and Director Francisco A. Uyami Jr. of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
To take their oath of office as new Chief Superintendents are Asher A. Dolina, Jose L. Gentiles, Felixberto S. Lagiwid, Ferdinando G. Sevilla, Abelardo P. Villacorta, Robert R. Kiunisala, Edgar O. Basbas, Wesley A. Barayuga and Alejandro B. Advincula Jr.
Purugganan is a classmate at the Philippine Military Academy "Dimalupig" Class of 1981 of Gen. Purisima while Uyami belongs to PMA Class 1982.
Dolina, Lagiwid, Villacorta, Basbas and Barayuga are all graduates of PMA Class 1982 while Gentiles, Sevilla and Kiunisala are from PMA Class 1984.
Dolina is currently the executive officer of the PNP Directorate for Operations while Gentiles is the Washington police attaché.
Lagiwid is the executive officer of the PNP Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Northern Luzon while Sevilla is the director of the Center for Police Strategy and Management.
Kiunisala is the deputy regional director for administration of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Police Regional Office while Basbas is the DRA of the Police Regional Office 8 in Eastern Visayas.
Barayuga is the executive officer of the PNP Directorate for Logistics while Advincula is the director of the PNP Health Service
